Flying Scotsman here again in the big sand pit (Dubai) en route to Europe for short trip. Despite the persistent rain, a decent turn out, with enough for 3 teams rotating, glad to see so many Japanese friends turning up again, although sadly not the old guard's favourite fitness instructor...Also, good to see several kids having a run despite the conditions. Generally good and fast standard of play in difficult conditions. Igor and I made up for Fendi's absence with some shocking passing, Igor poor to the left, I was equally bad from both hands....Dom made it for his first run in weeks, using run in the loosest possible sense.... Rodderick ambled through the middle to score a trademark try, and this was mirrored soon after by Dave O, who then headed straight for his cool box...post match drinks this week involved us huddled outside the men's toilets.... Last Saturday, Aus managed to lose simultaneously at 3 sports....rugby, football and cricket, followed by the mother of all defeats midweek at cricket (part of a 5-0 whitewash....now they know how it feels to be Scottish.. Opinion still divided over our long term home, but it looks like we will stay at Rimba for the foreseeable future. See y-all in a couple of weeks! Cheers, Grant
