Supreme touch conditions, almost festive turn out and good laughter are few words to describe the session last week. Despite a small section of the pitch was occupied with tents, we managed to squeeze in a full sized pitch for adults and a smaller one for beginners and new comers.
The touch kids are showing strength on the pitch day by day as they could easily contest against our new comers and veteran players. Speaking of newcomers we have a few local newcomers as well *I apologise as I forgotten all their names. One of the Lei who obviously played touch before.
At the adults pitch, some spirited running from both Joe's, Dave O, Jes, Nuku, Seb and many more. Grant was mostly at the other field babysitting- about time. Quality of play was. it as great as last week, with many drop balls and wild passes (Shutup Grant), perhaps the heat and humidity got to us all - or we could have just missed Mr. Whitelaw. Just when the quality of play was about to pick up, sharp at 6, a dog came right in the middle of the field and let go a nasty one.
We all had to agree that perhaps it was time to hit the showers. The dog must have saw something and tried to prevent someone from getting an injury. God works in mysterious ways. We shall see next week if this phenomenon happens again. Maybe it is a sign to move to a new field.
Meanwhile up North at Balik Pulau, Jake has ably marshaled the Tigress as champions of the ladies touch - photo courtesy from Jake. KL TOUCH is proud of you ladies - includes you too Jake. I've seen them ladies play, they could easily go to the Men's Finals I reckon.
Touch is still at 4pm Rimba Kiara. Ina and Dave Roddericks will have the cones and balls.
I will be away for a short RnR.
