Saturday touch was awesome because the weather was perfect. Alas we didn't have many, just 16 people so just subbing and no team rotations.
The 3 kids (Mat, Tom, Sharleez) did well holding up to the adults level of play. We had 2 newcomers from Sri Lanka, whilst others are the usual. Great hands from Assunta and Munira. Let's hope more turn up this weekend. Sunday was amazing because the Old Putra Team won 2nd place in the SMSS 10S VETS above 35 category.
The score was 10 all with SMSOBA, but being the first scorer, the won the finals. Hard luck, we had it in basket but gave away the try at the last minute after rushing for a pick and go in our 22 in the last minute. The opposition of course won the ball and scored. Monday was scrap, because it reminded me why I play touch and not contact. Couldn't sleep well with all the bruises, gashes, muscle sores.
I'll never play contact again....till someone invites me I suppose.
